What can I say? Jared and Shannon are an ultra wonderful wedding couple! It was so fun to photograph their wedding at The Sanford Winery and Vineyards in Lompoc. Along with Jared and Shannon being so full of humor, life and love, they had a great sense of authentic style for their wedding. From the beautiful differently colored bridesmaids dresses to the luscious collection of flowers that made up their bouquets and everything in between…it was all amazingly perfect.
The wedding day started with the gals at the gorgeous Allure Salon in Santa Ynez. I was accompanied for the day by one of my associate photographers Andrea. She’s quite gifted and very helpful. All of the photographs you see on this wedding blog were taken by me, so there is no misunderstanding as to what is my own work. Regardless, she got a lot of great photographs as well, that I’m sure the couple will enjoy. We photographed the ladies getting ready and took some photographs of the wedding rings as well.
Shannon is just so fully of life and fun. It was really fun to photograph her. Doesn’t hurt either that she is super photogenic and that her and Jared wear their love for each other openly!
On location at the Sanford Winery and Vineyards wedding venue, Shannon takes a peek outside to see what all is going on!
Shannon’s mother helps her get ready. What a kind and wonderful mother Shannon has. Thank you for being such a blessing to me through out the wedding day Elizabeth!
Dad gets to see his “little girl” all dolled up and ready to be given away to the man of her dreams. It was really touching through out the wedding day to see the genuine affection, love and special relationship Shannon and her father share. You could just tell that there is nothing this man wouldn’t love to do for his precious daughter. Made me think of how God that Father loves His children to the utmost and has sacrificed the most precious imaginable thing possible – His Son Jesus….all for us, to make forgiveness available to all who will receive!!! Wow, amazing grace!
The Sanford Winery and Vineyards in Lompoc is a great wedding venue, large enough to accommodate big weddings at the same time giving a great feel of rustic and elegant beauty all rolled into one.
Jared got all his groomsmen what may be the coolest groomsmen gifts I’ve ever seen. That’s right, each got their own taylor designed machetes. So authentic and sharp were these puppies that I could see some of the guys bodies tensing up as they unsheathed them. However, this did not stop them from getting them way to close to Jared’s…uhmmm…belt buckle and such. Yikes, I get nervous just looking at this photograph.
Jared made it away from the machetes un harmed! Wheeehww!
We headed up to a separate barn area on the property that was about a mile away. We drove of course. Once we entered the barn I immediately knew I had to get Shannon in all her bridal beauty in front of this window.
Ater photographing the girls, the guys came up and we arranged for Jared and Shannon’s “first look”! We figured inside the barn would give them some good shade as well as give them the privacy that such a moment deserves! The bridal party waited outside.
Time for what everyone had been waiting for! Just glorious to see Shannon being walked down by her proud and loving father to be handed off to the man of her dreams! I just felt so excited for the culmination of this moment for both Jared and Shannon and all their family and friends. It just felt Epic!
Shannon’s maid of honor was pregnant and so they wanted to get some photographs with Shannon kissing her maid of honors tummy. Beautiful and hilarious all the same time!
Jared and Shannon’s message to family and friends!
Wow! What a wonderful wedding to have been at. Just editing the photographs and putting together this blog has been like living it all over again! I hope viewing this wedding blog post will help Shannon, Jared and family and friends relive some of their wedding moments also. I wish we could all do it again and again! Jared and Shannon thank you so much for entrusting me with the privilege and responsibility of capturing your wedding photography. It’s couples like you that make me feel so honored and blessed to be a wedding photographer. May God bless your marriage and all that you do as you seek to love and honor him and each other!
Kindly,
Trent
