Jesse and Tasia were married at the beautiful Sea Venture Resort in Pismo Beach. The day was adorned with perfect warm weather and beautiful blue skies.  I greatly enjoyed shooting this wedding. Both Jesse and Tasia were a pleasure to be around on their wedding day.  The atmosphere was very laid back and everyone was able to soak in and enjoy a very wonderful day.  The Sea Venture Resort is right on the beach making it an ideal venue!

They don’t get any cuter than this!

Tasia was an absolute glowing beauty on her wedding day at the Sea Venture Resort in Pismo Beach.

Jesse and Tasia are both lifeguards and enjoy surfing, so it was fun to be able to incorporate the beach, surfing and lifegaurding into the theme of their wedding photographs.

Marriage is no chess game…although it can feel like is some time eh?  lol.

As the sun set directly in view of the Sea Venture Resort in Pismo Beach, the couple snuck outside for some sunset photos.

A wonderful wedding day for Jesse and Tasia. One that I will never forget.   Jesse and Tasia enjoy the memories…enjoy each other. Keep in touch my friends!

Chad and Shauna were married at the unique, beautiful and historic Santa Barbara Courthouse.  Both Chad and Shauna are two of the kindest people you will every meet.  With their words and actions there is something very special and beautiful about them. It’s also apparent in the way they love each other, that they possess a very beautiful love.

The officiant prepares to conduct the ceremony.  Got to love those socks!  Meanwhile the ladies work on their hair.

It was a beautiful sunny day at the downtown Santa Barbara Courthouse.

The wedding details were fabulous.

This little sweetie stole the show through out the day.  I don’t think I have ever met or seen a young lady like this who loves to pose for the camera as much and as often as she did  In fact, she stole my fedora so she could ham it up for the camera in one of the below shots.

With wedding flowers, wedding shoes and wedding rings all photographed it was time to move on to shooting the bride and the groom.

Wedding coordination was done by Saralee Franchi at XOXO Bride.  Saralee is a pleasure to work with and makes sure the day goes smoothly.

Check out the view from the top of the historic Santa Barbara Courthouse.

You can see it all over her face.  Shauna is quite happy and excited, as she comes down the aisle, to be marrying the love of her life, Chad!

The Santa Barbara Courthouse offers a number of great locations inside and out to get great couple shots.

During the reception Chad and Shauna made time to sneak outside, across the street at the beach, to get some couple shots around sunset time!

Chad and Shauna are prisoners to each other’s love!

Wow – what a great day.  Plenty of memories to last a lifetime.  I’m so grateful that Chad and Shauna commissioned me to capture so many wonderful moments of their day!  May you two continue to grow, nurture and thrive in the beautiful love that you already have!  Keep in touch my friends.

The Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club in Redondo Beach was the fabulous setting for Joel and Erin’s wedding reception.  The wedding ceremony was held at the Neighborhood Church in Palos Verdes. It was a real delight to get to know Joel and Erin and to be able to be their wedding photographer. The day was filled with emotional moments, fun, great weather, love and celebration.   Joel is an “Aussie”, Erin the “All American Girl” and they both love volleyball.  Seeing them together, and watching how the “Aussie’s” party was quite fun for me.  Just a really super couple!

As mentioned above Joel and Erin both love volleyball so it was fantastic that we were able to get shots of them on the beach as a couple and with their bridal party – with a little volleyball theme mixed in with the shots.

Joel and Erin’s friends get a laugh at the couples expense.  It was all in good fun.

Nice dramatic clouds moved in to help set the back drop for the beach pictures.   I was very excited when they rolled in!

The Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club lobby was a great spot for some pictures of the girls.

The Neighborhood Church in Palos Verdes is an unbelievable venue.  It’s actually an old mansion that has been converted into a church and of course sits on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean!  It offers a dazzling facility and views like no other!

Joel has worked for the FBI, CIA, KGB and a number of other high level security forces around the world.  There is tight security where ever he goes!   Ok, so I might be fibbing a little.  However, you know your wedding couple is important when they get a coast guard fly bye!

The Neighborhood Church in Palos Verdes is quite something!  A great place to hold your wedding ceremony.

Back to the Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club in Redondo Beach for the wedding reception!

You just can’t beat the expressions kids give you!

It was definitely time to P-A-R-T-Y!

It was a very special day of love and celebration for Joel and Erin.  It was a great pleasure to be around this couple and to meet their family and friends. Everyone had such a great time!  Joel and Erin, may your love continue to spike upward and onward.  Thanks for the privilege of shooting your wedding. Here’s to hoping we cross paths again one day soon!

Check out another great couples wedding with The Portofino Wedding Photography.   You will see Jeff and Gilda’s fabulous wedding at the Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club in Redondo Beach. Happy go lucky, fun, upbeat, living life with enjoyment, spunk and an endless love!  That’s how I would describe Tyler and Katie. What a great day, what a great wedding. Another beautiful and glorious day to be a wedding photographer.  Tyler and Katie’s wedding was held at St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point – Orange County  The spirited reception was held at the  beautiful and lavish Pacific Hills Banquet Hall in Laguna Hills.

The wedding photography fun started early at the hotel with Katie’s “getting ready” and the detail shots.

Katie turned a blind eye to all speed limit laws and raced with her girls to the St. Edward The Confessor Church in Dana Point.  Go Katie, go!

After a number of attempts…we only needed one more groomsman to make “lift off” and we’d have the whole group air born!  So close! I don’t know how many times I was laughing my head off shouting, “one more time…one….two…THREE!”

Life is full of temptations.  This handsome little guy ponders his choices and then makes the right choice!     You’re off to a good start, stay on track and just walk away my man. In the future remind yourself to stay away from groomsmen, they can be a bad influence!

Next we headed to the reception held at the beautiful St. Edward The Confessor Church in Dana Point.

Two lives are about to unite as one!  Katie and her proud dad head down the aisle at St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church, as her dad is about to give her away to her husband to be Tyler.

The large sanctuary at St. Edward The Confessor Church is modern, beautiful and allows plenty of natural light in through it’s large glass windows.

I was happy to be joined for the day  by my second shooter – photographer Jerry Giles.  We always have a great day together as we have as much fun as we can while we work as hard as we can.  Every wedding we both work with the mindset that we are there to serve the couple on their most special day.   Jerry captured this shot of the couples first kiss from the balcony.

Tyler and Katie’s first moments together as husband and wife.

Tyler and Katie head outside as husband and wife to start their new lives together!

I always try as many different things with the wedding ring shots as possible. In the photograph below I was able to balance the wedding ring on top of the grooms ring, which sat on the bride’s beautiful engagement ring.  Every ring is different in size, weight, shape and how it will balance.  It’s rare I am able to get them to balance just the way I want to.

With the wedding ceremony over, we headed outside on church grounds for some couple shots.

The Pacific Hills Banquet Hall in Laguna Hills is a stylish wedding venue. It is a great place to hold your wedding reception and/or ceremony.  Classy, clean, roomy and great service.  I think Tyler and Katie made a great choice.

The reception begins.  Here’s a few of the most memorable entrances of the bridal party and wedding couple!

Some of the above and below candid wedding reception moments are always my favorites.   Nothing compares to real, non staged laughter, silliness, tender moments, heartfelt love, etc.  That’s what I love so much about being a wedding photographer. I have the honor and privilege to photograph these moments. By the time the reception unfolds everyone is just being themselves, having fun and expressing themselves in light of the wonderful celebration of the couple’s wedding day!

During the money dance one of Tyler’s friends decides to “make it rain up in here!”

That’s Tyler on the floor “doing the worm”!  Go Tyler!

Kids are always a special presence at each wedding.  You just can’t beat their innocence, joy, and other angelic qualities!  Ok, they can be a bit mischievous sometimes too.  But that is just as fun to photograph!

As we did couple shots near sunset time I had to ask Tyler to step out for just a few minutes so I could get some individual silhouettes of his beautiful bride Katie.  Such a great opportunity could not be wasted!

A heartfelt congratulations to Tyler and Katie on their wonderful wedding day and the special love they have for each other.  It was a special honor to have the joy of photographing your wedding day from start to finish.  May your days of loving each other be endless!   Keep in touch.
