It was my privilege to photography Brent and Erin’s Wedding recently at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church in Pismo Beach.  The girls got ready at The Shell Beach Salon and Spa in Pismo Beach.   The bridal party pictures were taken at the Sycamore Springs Resort.    We had already had a great engagement session months earlier so I knew we were in for a fabulous wedding!  I wish I had time to write much more, but with a wedding to prepare for tomorrow, I will keep my comments brief and let the photos mostly speak for them self!    It’s always exciting for me to release my blog postings and then notify the couple so they can take their first peak….so I am excited for Brent and Erin and their family and friends to get to see what I came up with.  As usual out of the close to 1000 pictures, it is hard to choose which ones to include in the blog, but her it goes!

Seeing all the girls get ready made me realize I had not had my hair done yet.  So I got a quick hair treatment with one of the salon artists taking my picture.

Congratulations to Brent and Erin.

Recently I had the adventure of photographing Paul and Trina’s wedding at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Paul and Trina had been referred to me from Jess and Ness – a great couple whose engagement and wedding I shot last year.  Paul and Nessen are best friends.   One thing Paul and Trina like to do is have fun!  So I knew I would be in for quite a time.   The wedding was a blast and Paul and Trina were great to work for.  I really appreciated all the kindness show to me by family and friends.

Nearing the finish of our bridal portraits – Trina decided to hit a slot machine on the run.  She instantly won over $2,000,000 as you can see by her expression. I’m still waiting for my cut of the winnings that she promised me. San Luis Obispo Photographers.

I don’t know what it was, but everyone and their mother who wasn’t part of the wedding – wanted to be in the wedding photos.  First it was Elvis, then three other savory characters.

After the ceremony and hitting some group and couple shots, we headed off  by limo to the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas sign”.

Next we headed the reception which was held at Maggiano’s Little Italy, just down the strip.   Paul and Trina got things rolling immediately with their “first dance”.

Special music was performed for Paul and Trina by these two young gents.

The toast was quite a hit.  Thanks Nessen.

The cake cutting was quite a hit also…..hit in the face!

Umm umm good!  Could this litltle guy enjoy sucking down a yummy drink more!

Apparently earlier that day Paul had lost something – and thought for sure it might be under Tina’s dress.   Not sure if he ever found it?

You know your surrounded by good country people – when you spot a kid wearing John Deere boots!!

Trina and her brother share a special moment towards the end of the evening.  I just love it when people express their emotions!  Obviously brother and sister mean a lot to one another!

“You did what!!”

Paul and Trina, thanks for the great memories in Las Vegas!   May your lives be filled with selfless love and lots of joy!

Dave and Chrissy were referred to me by my past engagement and wedding clients – Ashley and Mario. Chrissy and Ashley are cousins.  It’s always wonderful when people like the work you did for them enough to recommend you to family and friends!  So I was stoked when Chrissy contacted me and and retained my services.  They will marry later this year in San Diego.

We had been planning an engagement shoot for many months – however, when their date rolled around – we decided to scrap the engagement shoot before we met up – due to heavy rain.  Over a month later, we were wondering if it was going to rain again on our shoot date.  As it turned out – we got the best of both worlds.  For the day part of the shoot we had a nice bit of clouds to soften the light and allow us to shoot just about anywhere we wanted.   Then as we got to the beach the clouds began to lift allowing us to have plenty of light for the shoot as well as get a view of a beautiful sunset.

After shooting a few shots at Dave and Chrissy’s house with their pets – we headed out to Irvine for a spot I had scoped out and had my eye on for over a year.

Throughout the shoot Dave and Chrissy were chill, laid back and a ton of fun. It didn’t take long before they were both caught up in their own little fun and romantic world.  My job is just to make couple’s comfortable and let the reality and essence of their relationship  bubble up to the surface for me to capture!

Next, we stopped at the Huntington Beach Central Park…a spot Dave had shown Chrissy and then told me about.  I, like Chrissy, never had even heard about it before.

It would have been great if Dave could have released the flowers at the same time as Chrissy – but hey – I guess woman are obviously a bit more coordinated then men!  lol!   Nice try Dave!

Our last stop was at the Huntington Beach Pier. The straight concrete column supports provide a unique setting.

Dave and Chrissy – being Dave and Chrissy –  I love it.

One of the many awesome things about Dave and Chrissy was that they were all for a long and thorough shoot.  Never once, did I hear them talk about “are we almost done” or any such thing.  They were enjoying being together and just seemed to want to get as much out of the shoot as they could.  This always makes me happy and makes for a great shoot.  As it got a little bit cooler out side, both seemed intent on sticking with the shoot and getting the sunset shots!  I think their perseverance and determination payed off!

Thanks Dave and Chrissy.  Great shoot and lots of fun!  Can’t wait to do it again at your wedding!

Every wedding there is much excitement in the air.  The bride and groom have spent so much time planning and working hard to make sure their special day it just the way they want it.  Family and friends have been waiting expectantly and with the highest hopes for the dear couple that they love and care for.  It is with all of this glorious anticipation and excitement – already present,  that I have the privilege and honor of showing up for and bringing my service, passion and gifting. Every wedding is so different: the couples, the places, the interesting character and subplots, the sparkly details – it is really a pleasure to apply my passion and creativity.

I have the privilege of shooting Jace and Sasha’s engagement photographs as well.  I hope to get around to blogging those soon!

Things were no different when I showed up to photography Jace and Sasha’s wedding.  I arrived at the home of the bride’s mother – where Sasha and the girls were getting ready. The mood was joyful and exciting. Sasha, her sister and mother were especially warm and kind….something that for me never goes un noticed or with out appreciation!

The wedding ceremony was held at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Paramount and the reception took place at The Grand in Long Beach.

Capturing a candid moment like this (below) – just makes me smile!

This darling boy wanted to be part of the shoot too – so he ran away only to come back with his favorite pair of glasses!   Paso Robles Wedding Photographers

The ceremony was held at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Paramount, California.  The whole wedding was extra special for me since I went to this church when I was living in Los Angeles.  It’s a very large congregation, with 4 services on Sundays – and so I had never met Jace and Sasha before they hired me.  They “just happened” to find me while doing a google search and then we soon learned that we had we had been going to the same church.

The bride and her father – just before he gives her away.   I just love Sasha’s expressions in these next 3 pictures!

One of the many great things about Jace and Sasha was that once they were together – they seemed to forget about me and would just get caught up laughing, kissing and gazing into each other’s eyes!

I love this intimate close up (below) that my assistant Jerry Giles captured of Jace and Sasha.  It’s sharp, vibrant and timeless.  Great work Jerry!

Jace and Sasha make their grand entrance (below) sharing a special moment of joy and excitement – that I’m sure they will cherish and relive for the rest of their lives!

The father daughter dance is always one of the most emotional and special times of the evening.  Again, my assistant Jerry snuck in close for this special shot (below).

Every wedding, all kinds of characters emerge.  It is one of the things  that makes my job – one of the best in the world – for me anyway!   These two guys and the DJ (in the picture below them) add that extra fun to an already fun day!

Talk about characters!  This couple had everyone watching –  as they put on a little show!  Who says age has to slow you down!!

Every wedding seems to have one guy that will dance so enthusiastically – that for a moment he steals the show.  Well – there he is (above).   The bride’s sister reacts the exact way I felt!

A big thanks to Jace, Sasha and their families for all the love and kindness they showed me  –  added to the great adventure of photographing their special day!

Kindly,

Trent
