Sam and Tova’s wedding celebration took place at the famed Dana Powers House in Nipomo, California. Dana Powers House is such a unique rustic barn setting and Sam and Tova couldn’t have been a better couple to serve! The weather was spectacular and family and friends along with the couple were excited at the arrival of this long planned day! I must say, I was excited as well. Sam and Tova had picked me as their wedding photographer from seeing me in action at a previous wedding and seeing the wedding photographs from a very dear past couple, Mike and Jillian. You can see their blog from their wedding at The Cliff’s Resort in Pismo Beach here. So great to see everyone again. It was a pleasure to see Sam and Tova again too. We had a great engagement session a good number of months prior. I put together a little mini slide show from their engagement session just for fun.

If you are looking for a great rustic barn wedding venue on the Central Coast, Dana Power’s House in Nipomo is a great venue. As you can see from Tova and Mike’s decorations, the place can really be adorned quite nicely. Sam and Tova and their families really pulled out all stops and went for it. Awesome job.
I’m not sure I have ever seen cuter flower girls and ring bearer! They were absolutely the sweetest children. Their parents are absolutely doing a wonderful job as they behaved quite respectfully!
No matter what the age, the love of a mother and daughter is still heart warming and powerful!
Ultimate cuteness!
Yep, those are real tears. That’s real love for the whole world to see! Real men do cry. Sam you are a real man in the love you have for Tova! The love of God will melt any open heart! I admit that as I photographed Sam and Tova’s wedding I had plenty of tears flowing as well as their ceremony was so beautiful in their proclamation of their love for each other, based in the sacrificial love of Jesus that overflows from Him, into their lives and to each other. It’s so beautiful to see two people who live their faith, joined in marriage. God was glorified in this day!
Victory! They did it! Now the new journey begins!
Jump for joy and celebrate this day!
Ok, this wedding was a bit “off the hook” with stunningly cute kids running around everywhere. I’m sure this photo will make this adorable boy’s high school graduation or future wedding slide show to try to embarrass him a little. But I’m sure his mom will cherish such a photo for the rest of her life. Is this kid adorable or what!
I photographed this wedding by myself. There are advantages and disadvantages to photographing a wedding with or with out a second photographer. Occasionally I do have a second photographer. However, I’ve become quite accustomed and efficient at photographing weddings by myself. For me, the absence of a second photographer is one less thing to concern myself with and I can concentrate on my craft and artistry. I also feel, the only real way to make sure something is done properly is to do it myself, rather than wondering if the other photographer got it. After all, if a couple contracts me for their wedding, it’s my photography they want.
This photo (below) just makes me smile! Maybe it’s because I know Mike and he’s such a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor.
She might be in her eighties but Sam’s grandmother was still out on the dance floor dancing it up like a teenager. What an awesome grandmother!
Sam and Tova made their exit from the Dana Power’s House as family and friends formed a gauntlet. What a great day it was.
Warm and sincere congratulations to Sam and Tova and all their family and friends who shared in this wonderful celebration of love. Keep loving, keep serving and sacrificing for each other and your relationship will grow, flourish get better and better through out your days. Thank you for having me as your wedding photographer. Keep in touch! I hope we cross paths again soon!
Kindly,
Trent
