It was a spectacular day to be providing wedding photography for Matthew and Cheryl at The Apple Creek Ranch in Santa Rita Hills. I photographed the wedding by myself. It was an exciting day filled with much celebration and joy. There are few places as beautiful and perfect for weddings as the Solvang – Santa Ynez area. The lovely couple got ready at the famed Hotel Corque in Solvang. The wedding ceremony itself was performed at the Santa Ynez Mission also known as the Mission Santa Ines. The the rich reception celebration took place at the above mentioned Apple Creek Ranch in Santa Rita Hills. Matt and Cheryl were such a great couple and very photogenic as well! I hope they, as well as you, will enjoy the samples below!
Hair and Make up were provided by Jenya Fowler Hair and Makeup Artist (for the bride) and Carolyn Makeup Artist & Style Organizer (for the bridesmaids) both did a great job and were wonderful to work with!
It’s always great to get the bride and bridesmaids jumping up and down on a bed. Such fun to photograph…as long as no one falls off and gets hurt!
Absolutely stunning, unique and amazing flowers were provided by Laura Cogan with Passion Flowers Design out of Buellton. I work with Laura many times each year and not only are her floral designs stunning, but she is a very kind and sweet person!
So cute. I’ve never had a flower girls cover her eyes while she walked down the aisle, until now! I’m still not sure why a little girl would cover her eyes for this moment, but it sure was cute.
The Santa Ynez Mission is always a pretty place for a wedding ceremony.
Who says white men can’t jump!?! You go Matt! Look at those stylish socks Matt’s sporting too!
The Apple Creek Ranch is a really neat wedding venue, with all kinds of photo opportunities. I thought this wall covered with ivy growth was super cool. If you are looking for a wedding venue that can accommodate a pretty large number, give them a look. The owners are really nice too!
Very rarely do you see guys hold hands in our culture. However, Matt requested they do it and all his guys responded accordingly. They must be real brothers!
Technically they all did get “air” at the same time. It might have only been by a quarter inch clearance for one of the five but a quarter inch will do! We have lift off!
I love it when even the parents get into the fun with their entrances into the reception. Really fun!
Love, love, love capturing a real laugh like this woman’s! Just makes me smile looking at the photograph.
Real expressions, emotions. Priceless!
I’m not sure which is more interesting and funny. The ladies expression or the expression of the guy behind her, watching her! Love it.
Matt and Cheryl it was so fun to photograph your wedding day. Many fond memories were to be had by all and it was a ton of fun just putting this blog wedding post together remembering all the little moments that I enjoyed capturing. Congrats to you and your great families and the love you have found for each other. May the love and peace of God accompany you and your marriage all your days, as you walk in both His Truth and Love! Many blessings,
Trent
